Dear reader,
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party, led by Julius Malema, recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary. The event gathered a crowd of 100,000 people in a stadium where the infamous "Kill The Boer" song was sung. The world watches in silence as the white minority in South Africa continues to experience violence and discrimination. A video edit highlighting key points from the event, as well as showcasing the reality represented by the Plaasmoorde monument, is available at the top of this newsletter.
This song not only fuels hatred and resentment, but it also has dire consequences for South Africa's white minority. The Plaasmoorde monument stands as a symbol of this. Each cross in the monument represents a white farmer whose life was cut short due to such violent sentiments.
The rise in hostility has compelled white farmers in South Africa to shoulder two full-time roles: being a farmer and being a security officer. The constant threat has forced them to always be on high alert, implementing individual security measures to safeguard their lives and properties. However, these precautions are not enough. The gravity of the situation demands a collective response from the white community.
The silver lining in this public display of resentment is that it sheds light on the underlying issues. This transparency compels individuals to take appropriate measures for their own safety and fosters an organized effort to advocate for the wellbeing of their group.
